This is my 71 Ford Ranger XLT pickup. It's been in my family for years. It was bought new by my Uncle Darrell and was with him until 98 or 99 when I got in a head on collision with my GMC truck. I needed a truck due to my sculptures and other things I was doing at the time. So, I asked my uncle if he'd be interested in selling. It had been sitting for about 15 years without being driven, but occasionally was started.
When I brought it home, she was faded, missing trim, had wasps nests in many different nooks and crannies.
But, I managed to clean her up and made a fine looking truck out of her once again.
Unfortunately, she was hit the other day on my way home from lawn mowing. Now the drivers door is caved in! Window won't roll all the way down and it looks terrible.
She'll get fixed again... hopefully by the guy that hit me's insurance. If not it'll happen many years down the road when I can afford to fix it.
LSD must just have been let loose on society for the first time back in the fifties!
What on earth was Mr Engineer thinking when designing this elaborate tail fin with missile tail lights.
I get pissed cleaning my mag wheels in the nook an crannies! .... Look at that minute detail in the chrome work around the plastic housing. No wonder Mr Suburbia only managed 2.3 kids per household.
